Programs:

Expanding Your Horizons
A Leadership Camp designed for visually impaired youth and their families. Activities at the Leadership Camp focus on self-esteem, self confidence, physical fitness, communications, teamwork, life skills and social skills. Activities at the Leadership Camp are designed to stress the child's independence, the importance of education, and to encourage a normal family environment so that visually impaired youth are empowered to reach their full potential. This project was piloted in 2007 in collaboration with the
Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ISB). Based upon the incredible response, 20/20 Inner Vision plans to hold this event annually in Indiana and perhaps other states.

Stick to School Website
20/20 Inner Vision is creating a cutting edge, interactive website designed to encourage students to graduate from high school. The website, www.sticktoschool.com, will inspire students and give them an opportunity to take a journey on life's highway.  The Stick to School website is being developed in partnership with
Purdue University and will have "various exits along the road" for students to explore jobs and career paths. There will be motivational presentations along the way from people who dropped out of school as well as people who have become successful entrepreneurs and celebrities. A career path exploration game makes the website fun for youth of all ages and career interests.

Interactive Website for Visually Impaired and Blind Youth & Their Families - www.innervision.org
20/20 Inner Vision, Inc. plans to develop an interactive website in 2008 for visually impaired youth and their families to encourage and support academic and vocational success among visually impaired youth. The website will be the first of its kind to feature chat rooms for students, parents and siblings, success stories from blind and visually impaired role models, career path opportunities provided by blind and visually impaired employees/employers, as well as employer job postings for blind and visually impaired individuals.  There will be a feature on the website for parents that provide useful tips on how to raise a blind child, resources for educational scholarship opportunities and ideas for social and recreational activities for families with visually impaired children.
